Accreditation for Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS)

Certification bodies offer Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems certification to organizations that have demonstrated the implementation of a system for occupational health & safety. The OHSMS framework enables an organization to consistently identify and control health and safety risks, minimize the potential for accidents, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and continuously improve performance.

To apply for OHSMS certification in accordance with ISO 45001:2018 and OHSAS 18001 accreditation, a certification body must adhere to ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO 17021-10, and UAS:CAB: OHSAS, as well as other international requirements specified in the Specific Requirements for Accreditation for OHSMS Scheme.
