Accreditation For Asset Management Systems (AMS)
The certification of an Asset Management System is bestowed upon organizations by certification bodies upon demonstration of the implementation of a system for asset management.
ISO 55000:2014 offers a comprehensive overview of asset management, its principles and terminology, and the anticipated benefits of adopting asset management, which can be applied to all types of assets and organizations of all sizes and types. ISO 55001 outlines the requirements for an asset management system within the organization’s context.
To obtain accreditation for ISO55001, a Certification Body must adhere to ISO/IEC 17021 and other international requirements as specified in the Specific Requirements for Accreditation AMS Scheme.
