Accreditation for Information Technology -Service Management (itSMS)
Certification bodies offer IT Service Management System certification to organizations that have successfully implemented a system for managing IT services. The international standard for quality management that specifically targets IT service management is ISO/IEC 20000-1. This standard outlines a set of standardized requirements for an IT service management system (SMS).
To obtain accreditation for ISO/IEC 20000-1, a certification body must adhere to ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 20000-6, and other additional international requirements as specified in the Specific Requirements for Accreditation for the IT Service Management System (ITSMS) Scheme.
